UPDATE #1: (Duluth, Ga., Sept. 15, 2023) – The Homicide Assault Unit has identified the decedent as Darius Devon Dugger (age 46, Lawrenceville).

Neil Patrick Frasdilla (age 26, Lawrenceville) has been arrested and charged with Felony Murder, three counts of Aggravated Assault, and Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Felony. The motive for this crime remains under investigation.

Immediately following the initial 911 call, officers utilized various technology to track the driver’s movements. As a result of this swift action, the murder suspect was in police custody within about 45 minutes.

ORIGINAL:(Duluth, Ga., Sept. 13, 2023) – The Gwinnett County Police Department is investigating a shooting that resulted in the death of a man.

Shortly before 1:00 p.m., officers assigned to the Central Precinct were dispatched to a “Person Shot” call in the parking lot of 2131 Pleasant Hill Rd in unincorporated Duluth. The 911 call was made by a witness who was in the parking lot at the time of the shooting and saw the incident occur.

The 911 caller reported that the driver of a blue Chevrolet pickup truck appeared deceased.

Officers were given a suspect vehicle description over the police radio. Officers located that vehicle, and the driver of that vehicle was detained near Dunwoody Club Dr in unincorporated Atlanta as a person of interest.

The motivation for this incident is still under investigation.  There is no indication that this incident is related to last night’s “Person Dead” call at the Jeju Sauna on Gwinnett Place Dr.

The victim’s name will be released following next-of-kin notification.
