Motorcycle Fatality – Ozora Rd, Loganville

(Loganville, Georgia)  The Gwinnett County Police Department Accident Investigation Unit is investigating a fatality collision that resulted in the death of a motorcycle driver. On Thursday, September 19, at around 9:45 PM, officers assigned to the East Precinct were dispatched to an accident with injuries at the intersection of Ozora Road and Chandler Road in unincorporated Loganville. 

The driver of the motorcycle, Dwight Fahrenthold (age 35), was transported to a local hospital.  He ultimately died as a result of his injuries.

Based on the preliminary investigation, Dwight was traveling south on Chandler Road as he approached the Ozora Road intersection.  He was driving a black 2007 motorcycle.  Dwight slid past the stop sign and into the intersection as the driver of an orange 2008 Honda Element was traveling west on Ozora Road.  The vehicles made impact.

The motorcycle dropped onto its side and impacted the side of a black 2007 Toyota Tundra.  The driver of the Toyota was traveling east on Ozora Road. 

All vehicles were impounded to the Gwinnett County Police Department for further analysis.  Next-of-kin notification has been made for Dwight Fahrenthold.
