Update #1:

The victim in this case has been identified as Ahmed Kadhim (30 year old male from Norcross).  Detectives are still actively working this case and do not have a motive available at this time.  They for anyone with information to contact the police department.

(Norcross, Ga., November 8, 2020) – The Gwinnett County Police Department is investigating a shooting that resulted in the death of a male. Officers were called to an apartment when the victim called police to report he had been shot. Officers located the victim and immediately rendered aid. Paramedics quickly transported to the victim to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

The Homicide Unit is currently investigating the incident. Detectives have been canvassing the area for witnesses and leads. The Crime Scene Unit responded to the scene to process it for evidence. At this time, there is no motive available and a suspect has not been identified.
