Woman Drives Vehicle through Local Restaurant

(Buford, Georgia)  A local restaurant is having to access the damage from a Wednesday afternoon crash that left one person with minor injuries. On Wednesday, July 10, shortly after 4 PM, officers assigned to the North Precinct were dispatched to an accident at the Rico’s World Kitchen located at 306 West Main Street in downtown Buford.

According to the accident report, a woman in her mid-60s mistakenly thought she was pressing her brake but depressed the gas pedal instead. She drove her white Mazda Millenia through the restaurant.  The collision caused debris to shift inside the business.  An employee who was sitting at the back of the restaurant was struck by some of the debris.

Neither the driver nor the employee were seriously injured.
