(Lawrenceville, Ga., Oct. 4, 2021) – Gwinnett County’s District 3 Commissioner Jasper Watkins is hosting a series of town halls in October.

The town halls will take place:

• Thursday, Oct. 7 at 6 p.m. in the Snellville City Hall Community Room, 2342 Oak Rd SW, Snellville, Ga.; co-hosted with Snellville City Councilman Todd Warner
• Wednesday, Oct. 20 at 6 p.m. in the Dacula Park Activity Building, 2735 Old Auburn Ave, Dacula, Ga.; co-hosted with the Dacula City Council
• Monday, Oct. 25 at 6 p.m. in Grayson, co-hosted with Grayson City Councilman Gene Ussery, location TBD

Commissioner Watkins looks forward to speaking with residents and hearing their questions or concerns during what will be the first series of many. Issues such as transit, land use and trails are high priority for the economic development of District 3.

“These town hall meetings will afford me an opportunity to share with my constituents, friends and neighbors all the great things the County is doing in District 3,” Watkins said. “It also will give them a chance to share with me their concerns, their ideas and the issues they are interested in. It is democracy in its purest form.”

The meetings will also be streamed on Facebook Live @GwinnettGov, but comments will only be accepted in person.
Participants are encouraged to wear masks.
