Comments on Gwinnett County Proposed 2019 Millage Rate
We'd like to hear from you! The Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners will be considering a General Fund millage rate of 7.40 at their meeting on July 16 at 2:00pm. This millage rate has been announced as a tax increase. According to state law, any millage rate under consideration that is above the rollback rate is considered a tax increase. The rollback rate for the County is 6.876 mills.
You are invited to attend one of the public hearings and to share your comments. All three meetings will be held in the Gwinnett Justice and Administration Center auditorium. Pick the time that best fits your schedule:
Monday, July 8 at 11:00am and 2:00pm • Monday, July 15 at 6:30pm
The 2019 General Fund millage rate under consideration is the same as the General Fund millage rate in 2017 and when service districts were first established in 2013. All County millage rates will be considered by the commissioners at their meeting on July 16.
