Register to vote in March 6 election
The deadline to register to vote and be eligible to cast a ballot in the March 6 Presidential Preference Primary/Nonpartisan Election is Monday, February 6.

To register to vote in Georgia, you must be a citizen of the United States, a legal resident of Georgia and of the county in which you wish to vote, and at least 18 years old by Election Day. You may not register to vote if you are currently serving any sentence imposed by the conviction of a felony or judicially determined to be mentally incompetent.

You can complete the voter registration application online or print and complete an application on the Voter Registration webpage. You can also contact your local public library, public assistance office, recruitment office, schools, and other government offices for a mail-in registration form. Voter Registration is offered when renewing or applying for a driver's license at any Georgia Department of Driver Services office. College students can obtain Georgia voter registration forms from their school registrar's office or from the office of the Vice President of Academic Affairs.

House District 107 Special Election: February 7
The Special Election the fill the vacancy of Georgia House of Representative District 107, which represents portions of Walton and Gwinnett counties, will take place on Tuesday, February 7. Advance voting for the Special Election is held through Friday, February 3 at the Gwinnett County Elections Office, located at 455 Grayson Highway in Lawrenceville. Voters may cast their ballots in person on Saturday, January 28 from 9:00am to 4:00pm or now through February 3, Monday through Friday only, from 8:00am to 5:00pm.

Voters may also request an absentee ballot for the special election. A completed application must first be received before an absentee ballot is issued. Please call the Voter Registration and Elections division at 678.226.7210 to request an application or complete the form online.

The special election results will be available on this website on election night.

How to receive an absentee ballot
A completed application must first be received before an absentee ballot is issued. Please call the Voter Registration and Elections division at 678.226.7210 and request that an application be mailed or faxed to you, or obtain the form online.

Polling Place Locator/Sample Ballots
To check your voter registration status and view a sample ballot for your precinct, complete the information as requested on the Secretary of State's My Voter Page (MVP) and click on search. Information will be provided regarding your registration status, polling location and sample ballot information. This information is updated nightly by the state voter registration system.

Gwinnett County Board of Registration and Elections
The Gwinnett County Board of Registration and Elections was created through local legislation in the Georgia General Assembly. The members of the Board collectively serve as the superintendent of elections and the chief registrar for the county. They are appointed and serve two year terms. They are appointed as follows: two by the Gwinnett Democratic Party; two by the Gwinnett Republican Party; the fifth member is appointed by the other four appointees. The Board is also responsible for the appointment of the Elections Supervisor who supervises the day to day affairs of the Voter Registration and Elections Office.
