Learn More(Lawrenceville, Ga., Feb. 18, 2022) – The Board of Commissioners on Tuesday awarded transportation improvement projects to widen Rosebud Road in Grayson and to improve the intersection of Medlock Bridge Road at North Peachtree Street/Langford Road in Norcross.
Each project is funded in partnership with the corresponding city.
The Grayson project will widen Rosebud Road to add a raised median and turn lanes from SR 84/Grayson Parkway to south of SR 20/Buford Drive. The project includes the installation of a mid-block pedestrian crossing on Rosebud Road, in addition to sidewalks, curb and gutter and associated drainage improvements.
The Board awarded the $996,654.95 contract to Backbone Infrastructure, LLC. This project is funded 70 percent by the County’s 2017 SPLOST program and 30 percent by the city of Grayson.
The Norcross project will realign the right turn lane from Medlock Bridge onto Peachtree Street. Construction will include replacing the existing signal with a traffic signal with mast arms.
The Board awarded the $425,287.32 contract to CMC, Inc. The contract is funded 65.6 percent by the County’s 2017 SPLOST Program and 34.4 percent by the city of Norcross.
