Construction on pedestrian safety improvements at the Beaver Ruin Road and Center Way overpass bridges across Interstate 85 will begin this summer.

This project will include the installation of new metal safety fencing on both overpasses. New crosswalks will also be installed at the intersection of Center Way and Brook Hollow Parkway.

When completed in early fall, the project will improve pedestrian access and safety, increase walkability in the area, and support better connectivity for all users.

 The safety-focused project is funded by the 2017 SPLOST program
