Firefighter/Paramedic Trainee:

$51,049 - $81,733

Starting Salary
Plus a 3% incentive for an associate degree or a 6% incentive for a bachelor’s degree

Firemedic:

$59,079 - $94,588   

Starting Salary
Plus a 3% incentive for an associate degree or a 6% incentive for a bachelor’s degree
Note: Salary will be based on qualifications and experience.

In-State and Out-of-State Lateral Transfers:

Specialized Unit Incentive

A 6% special assignment incentive is given to personnel working in specialized units including, Hazmat, Technical Rescue, Mass Casualty Incidents, and Swift Water Rescue.

Please note that the special assignment incentive can be added to the education incentive.

Defined Contribution Retirement Plan 401(a) - Employees choose 5.0% or 7.5% contribution. The County contributes 7%.  Employees are fully vested at 5 years.
