Gwinnett County funds lifestyle spending accounts for full-time benefits eligible employees to use on eligible expenses related to physical, financial, and emotional well-being. This benefit meets the needs of everyone, regardless of age, life stage, or circumstances, and is designed to enhance employees’ overall well-being. The County’s LSA will reimburse 50% of each eligible claim submitted. The lifestyle spending account is subject to taxation through payroll deduction.

A lifestyle spending account’s eligible expense list is extensive with a wide variety of options to choose from. There are three categories of expenses related to well-being: physical, financial, and emotional. Eligible expenses include:

    • Eldercare
    • Financial adviser and planning services
    • Financial seminars and classes
    • Home appliances (refrigerator, washer, dryer, microwave, dishwasher)
    • Home purchase expense reimbursement (down payment, closing costs)
    • Insurance (auto, home)
    • Mortgage
    • Professional memberships
    • Rent
    • Student loan reimbursement
    • Utilities
  • Physical wellness

    • Athletic equipment and accessories
    • Exercise equipment
    • Fitness classes (yoga, Pilates, spin/cycle, dance)
