The Uniform Division is the largest division in the department. Uniformed personnel are assigned to five geographically proportioned precincts and make up the largest percentage of this division. These officers are primarily responsible for patrol and responding to all 911 calls for service within unincorporated Gwinnett County. The Uniform Division also includes Special Operations, SWAT, and HDU (Hazardous Devices Unit).
The Uniform Division also provides police services to six cities in the county that do not have police departments.
