The Gwinnett County Airport – Briscoe Field is located approximately 500 acres northeast of the city of Lawrenceville. The airport has a single 6,000-foot-long by 100-foot-wide grooved asphalt runway, capable of handling all light general aviation aircraft and most corporate jet aircraft in operation today.
The Gwinnett County Airport – Briscoe Field is serviced by two fixed base operators. Sheltair is located on the north side of the field, and the Aircraft Specialists Jet Center is located on the south side of the field.

The airport has an Air Traffic Control Tower that is in operation from 7:00am to 9:00pm. There are more than 50 aviation-related tenants, almost 200 hangars, and about 300 aircraft based at the airport.

  • Take I-85 North to Highway 316 (splits to the right)
  • Continue on GA-316 East toward Athens/Lawrenceville
  • Turn right on Hi-Hope Road
  • The first road to the left is Airport Road

Note: If you are going to a business on the south side of the airport where Aircraft Specialists is located, do not turn left onto Airport Road. Instead, follow the curve on Hi-Hope Road to the right until you get to the light at Hosea Road. Take a left onto Hosea Road at the light and then take the first left-hand turn at Briscoe Boulevard. Businesses on the south side of the airport are located along Briscoe Boulevard.

If you are picking up someone who is on an inbound flight, find out from that person or the pilot which Fixed Based Operator (FBO) they are going to. Gwinnett County Airport has two FBOs and passengers can arrive at either facility depending on what arrangements they or their pilots make.
