Paid Time Off
Eligible employees receive:
- 13 paid holidays
- Accrual of paid time off (up to 13 days for new employees)
- Accrual of sick leave (up to 13 days for new employees)
Retirement Benefits
Defined Contribution Retirement Plan 401(a) - Employees choose 5.0% or 7.5% contribution. The County contributes 7%. Employees are fully vested at 5 years.
Participate in the 457b Deferred Compensation Plan and contribute 3.0 percent of pay to receive a 1.0 percent additional County contribution to the DC Retirement Plan.
Health Benefits
Eligible County employees may choose from two Medical plans:
1. Kaiser HMO Gold or Silver with a Health Reimbursement Account
2. Aetna Maximum Choice Gold or Sliver High Deductible Health Plan with a Health Savings Account
New Hires must select their benefits within 30 days of hire and provide required documentation if enrolling any dependents. Changes to benefit elections are only allowable during the County's annual Open Enrollment period unless an employee experiences a qualified Life Status Change, as defined by the IRS. Dental and Vision Plans
Employees pay 100 percent of the cost for Dental and Vision insurance coverage. There are three dental plans from which to choose. One Vision plan, with in- and out-of-network benefits, is available.
