Purchasing Division

The Purchasing Division proactively directs the County's procurement operations and contract management activities within the statutes of the State of Georgia and in accordance with the Gwinnett County Purchasing Ordinance. The Purchasing Division develops, coordinates and evaluates procurement and contract administration practices and programs of the County; provides guidance and support to departments and agencies in developing purchasing requests and performs contract administration oversight while operating at the highest standards of ethical conduct and professionalism.

To better serve the Citizens and Supplier Community and to increase competition, information regarding Gwinnett County solicitations is available from the following sources:  Gwinnett Daily Post (newspaper), Gwinnett County Web site,  and the Solicitation Center located at the Gwinnett Justice and Administration Center, the Department of Financial Service, 75 Langley Drive, Lawrenceville, GA  30046.

The Department of Financial Services, Purchasing Division, has been a chosen recipient by the National Purchasing Institute (NPI) for the prestigious “Achievement of Excellence in Procurement” award since 1999. The Purchasing Division has also been the recipient of the Outstanding Agency Accreditation Achievement Award (OA4) presented by the National Institute of Governmental Purchasing (NIGP) since 1999.
