Commissioner Brooks receives Lifelong Learning Academy specialty certification

District 1 Commissioner Jace Brooks has completed the quality of life/social issues specialty track in the Association County Commissioners of Georgia Lifelong Learning Academy. Mara Shaw with the Carl Vinson Institute of Government at the University of Georgia made a presentation to Brooks on behalf of CVIOG and ACCG during a Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners meeting this fall.

SPLOST: County joins GDOT to fund design of SR 316 interchanges

The Gwinnett Board of Commissioners recently approved an agreement with the Georgia Department of Transportation to fund the preliminary design of a grade-separated interchange on State Route 8 over State Route 316.

Commissioners approve Dacula Park field upgrade

The Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners on Tuesday approved $2.05 million in upgrades to the multi-purpose/football field at Dacula Park using funds from the 2017 SPLOST program. Sports Turf Company, Inc. was the low bidder for the project.
