Open Records Requests
To assist individuals seeking public records from Gwinnett County, Gwinnett County offers an online open records portal. Requests for records from Gwinnett County Departments and Offices may be made through the online portal and will be coordinated through Gwinnett County’s Open Records Office.
Create an account through the County’s online portal to:
- Submit an Open Records Request
- Track the progress of your open records request
- Receive requested files electronically
- View frequently asked questions about open records
Court records from the office of the Superior, State and Magistrate Court Clerk are not available through the County’s online portal. To obtain these records, please visit www.gwinnettcourts.com or call 770.822.8100 for additional information.
You may obtain hard copies of initial incident or accident reports by visiting in person any of seven locations throughout the county.
If your report is complete and available for release, you can pick it up immediately at one of these locations verses waiting 3 business days or more for the Open Records request process to be completed.
If you are listed as a VICTIM on a crime incident report, you may also call 770-513-5000 for further information on having your report emailed to you.
