The Communications Section is responsible for answering both emergency and non-emergency calls for service. The Communications Officer assigned to this area also dispatch Police, Fire, and Emergency Medical Units. Due to the nature of the job, the center is in operation 24 hours a day, 365 days per year.
As part of the enhanced 911 system, Gwinnett County is proud to announce Text to 911 service in all major cellular providers will be available starting June 1, 2020.Open Records
