The Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners adopted the Connect Gwinnett Transit Plan on July 17.

The plan is a roadmap for how the County would like to develop its transit networks to serve current and future needs. The plan aims to establish a countywide vision with broad-based support for future dedicated transit funding/implementation, as well as to make transit a popular choice for work and leisure trips. The plan has four implementation phases ranging from five years or less to more than 30 years.

The plan goals are sustainability, stewardship and service quality. These goals are supported by the priorities identified by stakeholders and the public: coverage and connectivity; congestion relief and reduced travel time, reliability and economic development.
