Learn MoreOn Monday June 12, 2012, the Gwinnett County Animal Welfare and Enforcement Unit hosted an event designed to attract rescue organizations to the Animal Shelter. The attached flyer was sent to over 300 rescue organizations to advise them of this new weekly event. Each Monday from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, the shelter will be made available to rescue organizations which must be licensed by the State of Georgia.
During this Monday’s event, over 40 animals were available for rescue. Two organizations attended and took a total of 16 animals. We are hopeful that this new program will lead to more animals finding their way to good homes.
