Learn More(Norcross, Georgia) Gwinnett County Police are investigating a Robbery by Sudden Snatching that took place in a QuickTrip parking lot in Norcross. The incident happened February 12, 2016, around 2 p.m. at the QuickTrip at 5095 Oakbrook Parkway. The victim posted an ad on Craig’s List to sell an IPhone 6. He received an inquiry from someone saying they were interested in buying the phone and could meet him within fifteen minutes at the QuickTrip. The victim met with a female inside the store and the two walked outside to conduct the transaction. When the victim handed the female the phone for inspection, she ran to an awaiting black Toyota Corolla.
There were three black males waiting inside of the vehicle. When the female closed the door, the vehicle sped off. The victim gave chase in his car onto the interstate and then onto surface streets. He ended the chase after the suspects began driving into oncoming traffic. He returned to QuickTrip where he called police. The photo below is of the female that ran away with the phone. Gwinnett County Police are urging citizens not to chase suspects that they may encounter, especially in vehicles. These actions unnecessarily risk the lives of many people. Call 911 immediately if you are the victim of a crime.
