CHAIRWOMAN HENDRICKSON HOSTS ANNUAL WOMEN VETERANS LUNCHEON

(Lawrenceville, Ga., June 11, 2026) – Gwinnett Chairwoman Nicole Love Hendrickson hosted the County’s fourth annual Women Veterans Luncheon, bringing together women veterans from across the county and the region for an afternoon of reflection, recognition and connection.

It coincides with the Women’s Armed Services Integration Act signed on June 12, 1948, which allowed women to become permanent members of the U.S. military.

This year’s luncheon, themed “Still Serving,” honored the lasting impact women veterans make long after their military service ends through leadership, mentorship, advocacy and service to their communities.

“Women veterans have served our country with courage, resilience and leadership, and too often their stories and contributions have gone unrecognized,” Hendrickson said. “This luncheon was an opportunity to honor the women who have served and who continue making an impact in their communities every single day.”

The luncheon featured personal reflections from women veterans and guided table discussions centered on leadership, service and community.
