WHAT:            District 4 Commissioner Matthew Holtkamp will host his State of District 4 town hall highlighting economic development, public safety initiatives and infrastructure improvements in his district. Attendees will also hear from Gwinnett department leaders.

WHAT:               Gwinnett County officials will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony celebrating the completed renovations at the Voter Registrations and Elections Beauty P. Baldwin Building.

(Lawrenceville, Ga., March 6, 2026) – Gwinnett County Chairwoman Nicole Love Hendrickson delivered the 2026 State of the County address Friday, highlighting the County’s continued growth, strategic investments and commitment to preserving Gwinnett’s history while preparing for the future.

WHAT:           Gwinnett County District 1 Commissioner Kirkland Carden will host a Millage Rate Town Hall to provide updates on the County’s millage rate and hear directly from residents. Representatives from the Gwinnett Tax Assessors Office and the Finance Department will be available to answer questions.

(Lawrenceville, Ga., Aug. 13, 2025) – Nehemiah Hamilton, a Gwinnett Youth Commissioner and recent graduate of the State Court’s SMILE program, launched The Little Things, a project to collect toiletries, school supplies and other essentials for children in need.

WHAT:            Gwinnett County District 1 Commissioner Kirkland Carden invites residents to join him for the next Carden Connects community conversation. The informal event provides an opportunity for residents to connect directly with Commissioner Carden, share ideas, ask questions and learn more about county initiatives and issues that matter most to them.

WHAT:           Commissioner Jasper Watkins III is hosting a District 3 Town Hall focusing on the County's recently approved millage rate, with representatives from the Tax Assessor's Office and the Finance Department present to answer questions. In addition to the millage rate discussion, Watkins will share updates on a variety of topics, including Gwinnett parks, crime statistics, services in the community, land use, water resources and transportation.

WHAT:         Gwinnett County officials will cut the ribbon on the newly renovated Field 7 at Rabbit Hill Park. The project converted an existing natural turf baseball field into a synthetic turf facility, designed to expand opportunities for programs serving youth with disabilities. The upgraded field will also reduce weather-related closures, improve safety and enable local leagues and adaptive sports organizations to host practices, games and special events. This project is funded by Gwinnett’s Recreation Fund.

(Lawrenceville, Ga., Sept. 16, 2025) – County officials cut the ribbon on Monday for the newly renovated Field 7 at Rabbit Hill Park in Dacula. The natural-surface baseball field was converted to a state-of-the-art synthetic turf facility, designed to provide a smoother, more resilient playing surface.

COMMISSIONER HOLTKAMP TO HOST TOWN HALL AT SECKINGER HIGH

WHAT:               Gwinnett County officials will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony for Evermore North Boulevard. The project, spanning approximately one mile from Hewatt Road to Britt Drive, aims to improve connectivity and enhance mobility along the State Route 10/US 78 corridor.

WHAT:         At the direction of Chairwoman Nicole Love Hendrickson, Gwinnett County will host the first-ever Jimmy Carter Day, honoring the life and legacy of President Jimmy Carter. The event will feature:

WHAT:       Gwinnett officials will cut the ribbon on the new Singleton Park and Greenway trailhead. The project transformed the former Singleton Activity Building into a 2-acre public space, enhancing access to year-round gatherings and play. The park includes a playground, a covered picnic area, restroom facilities, a 41-space parking lot and a ¾-mile, 12-foot-wide concrete multiuse trail that connects Singleton Road to Dickens Road.

(Lawrenceville, Ga., Oct. 14, 2025) – County officials cut the ribbon on Tuesday for Singleton Park and Greenway in Norcross, marking the completion of a project that transformed the former Singleton Road Activity Building into a new community space.
