(Peachtree Corners, Georgia)  The Gwinnett County Police Department Accident Investigation Unit was recently notified of a delayed death in reference to a May pedestrian accident. On Friday, May 10, officers assigned to the West Precinct were dispatched to the call on Peachtree Industrial Boulevard at Medlock Bridge Road in Peachtree Corners.  The call came in shortly before 5 AM.

A man called in stating that he had struck a pedestrian in the roadway.  That driver was driving a black Chevrolet Malibu.  The pedestrian’s name was Antonio Hopson (age 27, Memphis, TN).  

According to the preliminary investigation, Antonio was attempting to cross Peachtree Industrial Boulevard.  The driver was traveling westbound on Peachtree Industrial Boulevard.  Antonio was transported to the local hospital with life-threatening injuries.  He later died in hospice care on June 20.
