Double Homicide *** Updated Press Release***

(Tuesday, June 15, 2010@ approximately 6:24 am) Gwinnett County Police Department received a call in reference to two males laying in the ditch at the 4300 block of Old Suwanee Rd. in an unincorporated area of Buford, Georgia.  

A passerby observed two people laying in the ditch at the 4300 block of Old Suwanee Rd. The passerby stopped to check on their condition to find them both dead from obvious signs of trauma and called 911. Uniformed officers along with investigators of the Homicide Unit with the Gwinnett County Police Department responded to investigate this apparent homicide.  

The investigation has revealed very little information at this time. It appears that two males, possibly Hispanic in their 20's were murdered at or near the scene where they were discovered. Their identities are unknown at this time. Investigators are diligently working to identify these two men and establish a motive for what lead to their deaths. The apparent cause of death is known to investigators however is not going to be released at this time as it may compromise their investigation.

**The double homicide victims have been identified as 26 year old Martin Gomez-Gonzalez of Buford and 24 year old Gerardo Osorio-Amador of Sugar Hill.  

The families of both victims have been notified and investigators continue to work diligently to solve this case. Details on how the deaths occurred are still being withheld at this time as it may compromise the investigation if released.
