At approximately 1:18 AM, Officers from the Gwinnett County Police Crime Suppression Unit responded to a report of a robbery that had just occurred outside of an apartment building within the Idlewilde Apartment Complex.  Officers were informed that the victim of this crime had left the vicinity and had refused to meet with the police.  Regardless of the victim's willingness to cooperate, officers opted to investigate the matter further.  An officer from the Crime Suppression Unit personally contacted the victim by telephone to solicit further details concerning the crime perpetrated against him.  Having information and descriptions subsequently supplied by the victim, officers from the Crime Suppression Unit arrived at the complex to observe activity within an apartment fitting the victim's account of the crime.  Although they had noted visible activity within the apartment, the officers' initial knocks at the door were met with silence.  After several minutes, when it became clear to the occupants within that the police were aware of their presence, the knocks at the door were answered.  Officers were met at the door by an adult female.  When asked, she allowed the officers to enter the apartment.  Once inside, officers observed a large gathering of people and detected the odor of burning Marijuana.  For their safety, they conducted a security sweep of the apartment. During this sweep, 10 people were located, a shotgun was noted and Marijuana was observed in plain sight throughout the apartment.   At that point, the scene was secured, the suspects detained and a search warrant applied for.  With the warrant in hand, the apartment was searched.  Officers located and ultimately seized more than 4 ounces of Marijuana, a stolen handgun, a rifle, a shotgun, a stolen flat screen television and several thousand dollars worth of counterfeit currency.
