(Monday, September 24, 2012 @ approximately 5:09pm) The Gwinnett County Police Accident Investigation Unit is currently investigating a fatal accident that occurred on Beaver Ruin Rd. at Interstate 85. This is in an area of unincorporated Norcross within Gwinnett County.

The preliminary investigation revealed the driver of a red BMW was traveling westbound in the left turn on Beaver Ruin Rd. at I-85. Four other drivers, one of them a motorcyclist was stopped for the traffic light in the left turn lane.  The driver of the BMW failed to stop and crashed into the stationary vehicles causing a chain reaction accident. The motorcyclist died on scene as a result of the injuries sustained in the crash. The drivers of V1, V2, and V4 were all transported to Gwinnett Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. The driver of V5 was not injured.

Driver: 38 year old Brandon Roy of McDonough, GA. (Deceased)

V4- Black BMW 325i

Driver: 52 year old Usha Talwar of Tucker, GA.

V5- Red BMW Z3

Driver: 61 year old Steve LeBlanc of Roswell, GA.
