GCPD Crime Free Multi-Housing Certifies Its First Property

(January 10, 2013) Please join the Gwinnett County Police Department’s Crime Prevention Unit on Saturday, January 12, 2013 at 4:00 PM at The Arbors at Breckinridge Apartments as they present this property with Gwinnett’s first Crime Free Multi-Housing certificate.

The Arbors at Breckinridge began the three phase Crime Free Multi-Housing program in April, 2012, and have just completed the third phase.  In addition to completing all three phases, the property must also pass an inspection by an officer certified to do so.  The entire process is a large commitment from the property, both in time and resources.  The effort involved, and the commitment to making positive changes should be commended.

This Saturday, members of the Crime Prevention Unit will be at The Arbors at Breckinridge talking with residents and handing out flyers.  The Crime Free Multi-Housing Coordinator, Ofc. Humberto Garcia, will present management with a certificate and a sign to be displayed on the property.  This sign announces the property’s participation in the Crime Free Multi-Housing program, and is only awarded upon completion.

We hope you will join us at this event.  Please advise by email if you will attend.  Ofc. Garcia will be on hand to answer any questions.  Please see the attached document for further information on the Crime Free Multi-Housing Program.
