Mattie's Call Update

CURRENT UPDATE: April 6th, 2010 @ 6:00AM. 

Kai Yee was located at a family friend's house in Lawrenceville. He was returned home safely. The Matties call has been canceled. 

(Monday, April 5th, 2010) 

Preliminary investigations revealed that the male became upset and walked away after he was verbally disciplined by his mother for acting inappropriately. The victim's mother had stated to officers that he has run off before but has always returned home. The victim has been described as having the mental capacity of a young child and is currently taking medication for a diagnosed mental disorder. 

The victim has been identified as Kai Yee. He is an Asian male, approximately 5'10", 160 lbs with short black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a black and white hat, a white T-shirt with a joker on it, blue jean or black shorts and white sneakers. 

Officers along with personnel from Gwinnett County Parks and recreation have searched several areas including bike and walking trails within the park.    

On April 5th, 2010 a request was submitted to the GBI for a Mattie's Call. Anyone with information about Mr. Yee's whereabouts are urged to call 911 immediately.  

Gwinnett County Police are actively searching for a 22 year-old, male who is mentally challenged. The victim was reported missing after he wandered away from family members at Settles Bridge Park, in Suwanee on Friday, April 3rd, 2010.
