Firefighters responded on Thursday, January 5, 2017 at 2:09 a.m., after the alarm monitoring company called 9-1-1 to report the fire.

Firefighters arrived to find heavy-black smoke showing from the bay doors on the right-side of the large commercial structure.  Initial crews forced entry inside and were immediately met with smoke and heat conditions.  Fire crews found a car burning inside the automotive service area with exposure to several other vehicles.  Firefighters quickly extinguished the flames and ventilated smoke from the building.  The blaze destroyed one vehicle and caused extensive heat and smoke damage to several other vehicles inside the automotive service area.  Firefighters worked fast and kept the fire from spreading to the showroom and office.  According to the Fire Investigator, the blaze appears to have started in the engine compartment of the vehicle of origin; however, the exact cause is undetermined and is under investigation.  The blaze was brought under control at 2:36 a.m.
