(September 1, 2016 Norcross, Georgia) On September 1, 2016, the Gwinnett County Police Department received a 911 phone call from a resident of the Norcross Extended Stay (2250 Pelican Drive in Norcross).  The resident stated that a security guard for the business had been shot multiple times in the hallway of the hotel.  When officers responded to the scene, they located the victim and he was immediately transported to the hospital.  The victim was taken to surgery and his medical status is critical.
