UPDATE: The victim in this case has been identified as Oshane Scott (27 year old male from Lilburn).  Investigators believe that Scott lived at the apartment where the murder took place.  At this time, investigators do not believe this was a random incident and the motive appears be drug related.  Detectives are still asking anyone with information to come forward.

(Lilburn, Ga.) – The GCPD Homicide Unit is investigating a shooting that resulted in the death of a male. Shortly before 3pm, officers assigned to the West Precinct were dispatched to a “person shot” call inside The Aurora @ Twenty Seven Hundred Apartments in unincorporated Lilburn. When officers arrived, they found one black male in his 30’s deceased from gunshot wounds.

Detectives are still in the preliminary stages of this investigation.  The victim’s name will be released upon notification of their next-of-kin.  The motive for this crime is still being investigated.
