The Crime Scene Investigations Section is a Unit that is responsible for providing forensic assistance to the Criminal Investigations Division with the collection, processing, and preservation of collected evidence from various crime scenes within Gwinnett County. The Crime Scene Investigations Section is equipped with personnel that can respond and process crime scenes ranging from stolen vehicles to complex death scenes. Crime Scene Specialists are trained in various specializations to include latent print examination, footwear and tread pattern analysis, ballistic analysis, and marijuana examinations.
