Hundreds of businesses and contractors attended the Gwinnett County Annual Supplier Networking Event, held on August 16 at the Gas South Convention Center.
The event supported local suppliers, buyers, and contracting officers to foster connections and provide valuable insights into the County's procurement procedures. It also proved to be an engaging and interactive platform for businesses seeking to collaborate with Gwinnett County and other metro Atlanta agencies.
One of the key highlights of the event was the opportunity for attendees to meet with buyers and contracting officers from Gwinnett County's Purchasing Division, as well as representatives from other metro Atlanta agencies. This facilitated direct and meaningful conversations between potential suppliers and the decision-makers responsible for procurement within these organizations.
“We always look forward to the annual Supplier Networking Event,” said Gwinnett Purchasing Director Holly Cafferata. “This year, we welcomed more than 370 businesses. It is always a great time for attendees to meet buyers and contracting officers from Gwinnett County and better understand the procurement procedure.”
Throughout the event, various County departments and staff actively engaged with attendees, providing insights into their respective needs and objectives. This approach added a dynamic element to the networking experience, allowing suppliers to tailor their offerings and presentations to match the specific requirements of different departments.
As businesses continue to seek opportunities for growth and partnership, events like these play a crucial role in creating a thriving ecosystem of economic development and cooperation within the region.
