Residents will have the chance to connect with local organizations and explore resources aimed at supporting mental health and wellness.
The Gwinnett Sheriff’s Office will host its 4th annual Breaking the Stigma Awareness Fair on Saturday, May 10, at Alexander Park’s Lois Lane Allen Pavilion 4 in Lawrenceville. The event, which runs from 10:00am to 2:00pm, seeks to raise awareness and promote conversations about mental health in the community.
This family-friendly event will bring together a variety of mental health organizations, providing resources and information to attendees. In addition to important educational opportunities, there will be food, entertainment, and activities for all ages.
Members of the sheriff’s office, along with mental health professionals, will be on-site to engage with the community, answer questions, and offer support. The fair’s goal is to foster open conversations around mental health, reduce stigma, and connect individuals with resources to help them thrive.
Alexander Park islocated at 800 Old Snellville Highway in Lawrenceville.
