Gwinnett Code Enforcement will begin enforcing the interior standards of the International Property Maintenance Code at residential rental properties on Monday, July 31. These new requirements were adopted by the Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners to help maintain a safe, livable, and healthy community.

Tenants can request an inspection starting Monday, July 31 by visiting GwinnettZIP.com, calling 770.513.5004, or emailing CodeEnforcement@GwinnettCounty.com. Once a request is submitted, an inspection appointment will be scheduled. During the inspection, any code violations will be documented on a notice of violation. A Gwinnett Code Enforcement officer will then work with the property owner or manager to address all violations. For more information, review the Gwinnett County Property Maintenance Ordinance Amendment. To view the International Property Maintenance Code, visit ICCSafe.org.

We look forward to partnering with you to ensure these new standards are met throughout Gwinnett. If you have any questions, please call 770.513.5004 or email CodeEnforcement@GwinnettCounty.com.
