The Georgia Department of Transportation is continuing construction of converting HOV lanes to High Occupancy Toll (HOT) lanes along I-85 August 29 through 31.

Night work will close I-85 southbound from 8:00pm to 5:00am and northbound from 10:00pm to 5:00am. Up to three left lanes will close by midnight, and traffic will be paced from midnight to 4:00am.

Construction will close the HOV lane or left lane in the following locations on the indicated dates: I-85 northbound south of Beaver Ruin Road and from Jimmy Carter Boulevard to Pleasant Hill Road August 29, I-85 northbound from Northcrest Road to Beaver Ruin Road and I-85 southbound from Chamblee Tucker Road to Jimmy Carter Boulevard August 30, and I-85 northbound from south of Pleasant Hill Road to SR 316 August 31.

No work is planned for September 2 through 5 to accommodate residents traveling for the Labor Day holiday. Click here for more information on the project.
