Residents will have the opportunity to get active, strengthen community bonds, and build connections with law enforcement through a family-friendly event.  

The Gwinnett Sheriff’s Office is hosting the Bridge the Gap Community 5K, an event that promotes fitness while fostering positive relationships within the community. 

The event will be held Saturday, May 31 at 400 Rabbit Hill Road in Dacula at 8:00am, with warm-up, registration, and packet pick-up being held from 7:00am to 7:45am. The race entry fee is $35. The race will conclude by 10:30am. 

Awards will be given to the overall male and female finishers, as well as the top 3 male and female finishers for ages 1-10, 11-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60+. 

Participants will receive a short-sleeve T-shirt, though sizes cannot be guaranteed for registrations completed after Friday, May 9, along with a finisher challenge coin. 

All proceeds from the race will benefit the Keybo Building Bridges Foundation, which focuses on improving community engagement and addressing disparities.
