Join Gwinnett County in the nationwide celebration of Park and Recreation Month this July as the National Recreation and Park Association marks four decades of spotlighting the spaces that bring communities together. This year’s theme, Build Together, Play Together, encourages neighbors, families, and friends to embrace the value of parks and recreation in fostering social connections and improving quality of life.
From splashy events to back-to-school bashes, there will be a variety of free or low-cost activities for all ages and abilities:
- Imagination Station every Saturday from July 5 to July 26 at the Gwinnett Environmental and Heritage Center in Buford
- Masterpieces & Fun on Friday, July 11 at the Gwinnett Community Resource Center at Bethany Church Road (formerly OneStop Centerville)
- Swim 1922 – Swim Safely on Saturday, July 12 at the West Gwinnett Park Aquatic Center
- Serve and Splash on Saturday, July 12 at Graves Park in Norcross
- Pizza Garden on Monday, July 14 at the Gwinnett Community Resource Center at Georgia Belle Court (formerly OneStop Norcross)
- Drenchfest: Water Balloon Fest on Saturday, July 19 at the Gwinnett Community Resource Center at Bethany Church Road (formerly OneStop Centerville)
- Kickoff Bash (Back to School) on Saturday, July 26 at the Best Friend Park Gym in Norcross
- Bingo Bash (Back to School) on Saturday, July 26 at the Lenora Park Pool
- Kite – Craft & Fly on Saturday, July 26 at the Pinckneyville Park Community Recreation Center
