The Gwinnett 101 Citizens Academy Fall 2024 wrapped up its 12-week journey, gaining a behind-the-scenes look of the County’s various departments and services.
Beginning with an orientation and historical overview of the county, program participants received informative presentations from departments covering essential aspects of governance, such as budget and finance, planning and development, and water resources management.
As part of Gwinnett 101, cohorts gain insights into community services and critical safety operations through immersive experiences with Fire and EMS, Transportation, Police, Corrections, and the Sheriff’s Office. They also explored the judicial system within the Gwinnett Judicial Circuit.
