Gwinnett Communications Department wins Telly, Communicator Awards

Gwinnett County’s Communications Department continues to set a high bar for government storytelling, earning seven national Telly Awards, three Communicator Awards and multiple accolades for original programming that informs, engages and inspires.

The department received top honors during the 46th Annual Telly Awards for productions that highlight Gwinnett’s services, people, and progress:

Gold Winner

  • Upfront Gwinnett: The Hidden Homeless (Tease)
  •  Upfront Gwinnett: The Hidden Homeless (Three-Part Series)
  • 2024 National Gold Medal Award Finalist


Bronze Winners

  • Gwinnett County Fire Recruitment Ad
  • Celebrating Gwinnett’s HerStory


The department was also recognized at the Communicator Awards, earning accolades for content, production quality and writing:


Award of Excellence (Gold)

  • Upfront Gwinnett: The Hidden Homeless (Three-Part Series)


Awards of Distinction (Silver)

  • Upfront Gwinnett: Suffering in Silence (Episode 2)
  • Upfront Gwinnett: The Hidden Homeless (Script Writing)


This momentum follows Gwinnett’s first Southeast Regional Emmy® Award win in 2024 for Upfront Gwinnett: Fighting Fentanyl. The County received two Emmy nominations last year and celebrated back-to-back nominations this year for Upfront Gwinnett: The Hidden Homeless and the Gwinnett Parks Gold Medal Finalist Video.

Winners will be announced at the Southeast Emmy Awards ceremony on Saturday, June 14, in Atlanta.
