Kick up your heels at line dancing night

Put on your dancing shoes and join the fun at a line dancing session Friday, July 11 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at the Bethesda Park Senior Center in Lawrenceville. This lively class — open to ages 50 and up — welcomes both beginners and experienced dancers to learn line dances set to a variety of music genres.

It’s a fun way to stay active, learn new moves, and make new friends. The fee is $8 for Gwinnett County residents.

Step back in time at McDaniel Farm Park

Experience a slice of Gwinnett’s agricultural past at McDaniel Farm Park in Duluth. Originally purchased through an 1820 land lottery and farmed by the McDaniel family for generations, the 134-acre park features a fully restored 1930s-era farmstead, complete with a furnished farmhouse, barn, blacksmith shed, tenant house, and more. Visitors can enjoy scenic walking trails, creeks, gardens, and picnic spots across both the historic and modern park entrances.

Amenities include a farm-themed playground, dog park, event pavilions, and more than three miles of paved and unpaved trails. The historic side of the park is open for tours on Saturdays from 10:00am to 4:00pm, with park grounds open daily from sunrise to sunset.
