(Lawrenceville, Ga., 2/12/26) – A pair of brothers were convicted of sexually abusing a girl over a period of years.

Firefighters responded at 3:11 p.m. to a report of a house fire at the intersection of Azalea Springs Drive and Lankford Road in Tucker.

An Alpharetta man pled guilty to shooting and killing a stranger at a Norcross hotel after arguing with his girlfriend.

(Lawrenceville, Ga., Jan. 30, 2026) – As Gwinnett County prepares for a second major winter storm in as many weeks, Chairwoman Nicole Love Hendrickson has issued a declaration of local emergency. This action follows an executive order declaring a state of emergency for North and Central Georgia issued today by Gov. Brian Kemp.

WHAT:            Gwinnett County leadership will hold a news conference to share information about the County’s storm preparation and vital resources to help keep residents safe during the winter storm.
 

(Lawrenceville, Ga., Jan. 27, 2026) – Gwinnett County has launched an updated GwinnettCounty.com website with an emphasis on connecting residents, businesses and visitors to the County’s programs and services.

(Lawrenceville, Ga., Jan. 25, 2026) – Due to the impact of Winter Storm Fern, all County government offices, with the exception of those required for the comfort and safety of residents, will be closed Monday, Jan. 26.

(Lawrenceville, Ga., Jan. 24, 2026) – Due to the forecasted serious winter weather event, Gwinnett County has announced cancelations and closings.

WHAT:          Gwinnett County will operate six warming stations beginning at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 24. In addition to the County’s five regular warming station locations, the Gwinnett Justice and Administration Center will be open to the public during this time.
