(Lawrenceville, Ga., Sept. 22, 2025) – Gwinnett County Police detectives are investigating a burglary-in-progress that left the suspect dead from a gunshot wound in the 2000 block of Redbark Court.  

The suspect entered the rear of the home and was immediately confronted by the residents inside. Officers surrounded the home with the male still inside with the victims. As officers entered the residence to arrest the suspect he was shot by a homeowner. Homicide detectives and crime scene investigators have responded to the scene to speak with witnesses and collect evidence. The name of the victim is being withheld until the next of kin is notified.
