POLICE INVESTIGATING DOUBLE HOMICIDE

(Lawrenceville, Ga. Dec. 8, 2025) – The victims have been identified as Jesua Valesca Garcia Perez (17, Norcross) and Javier Hernandez Martinez (28, Norcross). Garcia Perez and Hernandez Martinez were located deceased in the car near Harbins Road and Harbins Point Lane.
Javier Aragon Ruiz was in the car with Garcia Perez and Hernandez Martinez when he got into an argument, pulled out a gun, and shot both in the car. He then walked to 3205 Windscape Village Lane where he attempted to shoot Soamia Garcia Perez, but the gun did not fire. Aragon Ruiz then attacked Jace Corley with a knife, causing a potential life-threatening laceration to his neck. He then fled the area. Aragon Ruiz was a known associate of the four victims. Detectives are still investigating what the motive was for the attack.
The Gwinnett County Police Department would like to thank the swift actions of the Tennessee Highway Patrol, Metro Nashville Police Aviation Unit, and Robertson County Sheriff’s Office in locating Javier Aragon Ruiz and getting him into custody.

(Norcross, Ga., Dec. 5, 2025) – The Gwinnett County Police Department is investigating the events that led to a double homicide.
Just after 10 p.m. officers assigned to the West Precinct responded to a person shot call on the 3200 block of Windscape Village Ln in Norcross, GA. When officers arrived on scene they located a male with a wound on his neck and a witness. While on scene, officers were notified of a vehicle occupied by two individuals suffering from gunshot wounds in a vehicle near Harbins Rd and Harbins Point Ln in Lilburn, GA. The two individuals were pronounced deceased.
Detectives and Crime Scene Investigators responded to the two scenes and began speaking to witnesses and collecting evidence. Through witness statements and various investigative techniques it was determined the two scenes appeared to be related.
Detectives identified the suspect as Javier Aragon Ruiz, 54. Detectives discovered Aragon Ruiz was traveling in Tennessee. Tennessee State Troopers located Aragon Ruiz’s vehicle and took him into custody. Aragon Ruiz is currently being held at the Robertson County Sherrif’s Office in Springfield, Tennessee. The victim’s names will be released following next-of-kin notifications.
