POLICE PRECINTS ADD MEDICAL DISPOSAL RECEPTACLES
(Lawrenceville, Ga., Oct. 15, 2025) – Gwinnett County Police precincts install on-site prescription medication collection receptacles.
Improving the quality of life in the community is paramount to the Gwinnett County Police Department’s mission. Unwanted prescription medication has the potential for accidental ingestion, misuse, and environmental contamination. Gwinnett residents now have a safe and secure way to dispose of unwanted prescription medications.
NarcX® On-Site Collection Receptacles are now available in the lobby of Gwinnett Police Headquarters and every Police precinct. Residents can dispose of expired or unwanted pills, tablets, capsules, and liquids. Receptacles are available Monday – Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm. This provides a safe and easy outlet for on-site medication destruction to help reduce the risk of prescription medication misuse, opioid addiction, and prevent medications from entering the water supply.
