Phil Hoskins was appointed Gwinnett County Deputy County Administrator in 2014. Prior to his appointment, he served as Director of Community Services for Gwinnett County for 18 years. His areas of responsibility included Parks and Recreation, Health and Human Services, Cooperative Extension Service, Gwinnett Environmental and Heritage Center, Voter Registration and Elections, and he was the staff liaison with several community service organizations. His more than 35 years of public service experience includes work with local communities in Georgia, Kentucky, Minnesota, and Illinois.
Phil holds a graduate degree from Indiana University in Bloomington and undergraduate degree from Georgetown College, Kentucky. He is also a graduate of Leadership Gwinnett and the Atlanta Regional Leadership Institute. He and his wife, Janet, reside in Gwinnett County. He is involved in a number of community organizations.
