GWINNETT COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE HOSTS 2ND ANNUAL THANKSGIVING FOOD GIVEAWAY
(Gwinnett County, Ga., November 16, 2022) – The Gwinnett County Sheriff's Office hosted the 2nd Annual Thanksgiving Food Giveaway on Thursday, November 10, at the Gwinnett County Fairgrounds. This event is one of Sheriff Taylor's many promising initiatives to his citizens. He established the Community Outreach Section to further develop community-based strategies by utilizing restorative justice principles to enhance economic opportunity, create relationships, and strengthen local neighborhoods. Sheriff Taylor has focused on a dynamic framework for quality growth and development through community events. This year, more than 4,000 vehicles were met by 216 community volunteers and 24 deputies.
“My priority is to connect with the community, decrease food insecurity, and contribute to a memorable Thanksgiving holiday,” Sheriff Taylor states. “The 2nd Annual Thanksgiving Food Giveaway encourages partnership, promotes collaboration, and unifies law enforcement officers and citizens throughout Gwinnett County.”
