Earth Day 2013 a Success!
Gwinnett County celebrated Earth Day with the Solid Waste and Recovered Materials Division on Saturday, April 13 at Coolray Field in Lawrenceville. Residents brought more than 2.5 tons of paper to shred, 3.8 tons of tires and seven tons of electronics to recycle. In addition, 1,150 gallons of paint were donated to Global Paint for Charity.

Attendees enjoyed kids’ activities and games, and got a chance to meet their residential haulers. Thanks to Advanced Disposal, Republic Services, Sanitation Solutions, Southern Sanitation, and Waste Pro along with the Gwinnett Braves, Recall, Amerisouth Recycling, Global Paint for Charity, and LaRaza  102.3FM for their help and participation in this exciting event. Be sure to join us next year for this national celebration!
