Gwinnett County celebrated
Earth Day with the Solid Waste and Recovered Materials Division on
Saturday, May 10 at Coolray Field, home of the Gwinnett Braves in Lawrenceville. Residents brought more
than 5 tons of electronics, 7.5 tons of tires, 40 household toner cartridges, and 278 pairs of old sneakers. In addition, 800 gallons of paint were donated to Global Paint for Charity and 200 gallons have already been given to the Metro Atlanta Task Force for the Homeless to help facelift the walls for the Peachtree Pine Homeless Shelter building. Together, we do great things!
