Homicide Victim Identified

(Lawrenceville, Georgia) Gwinnett County Police have identified the victim as 42 year old Zeno Salathiel from Lawrenceville. The next of kin has been notified. The victim was reported missing January 01, 2017 by her husband. He had not spoken to his estranged wife since the beginning of December. Prior to their phone contact, he had not seen her for months.

The medical examiner is still working to determine a manner and cause of death. There were no obvious signs of trauma or gunshot wounds that would indicate a definite cause of death. The medical examiner believes that the death occurred 3 to 5 days ago. Detectives have canvassed the street where the victim was found and they are still working to determine who is responsible for the murder. At this point, detectives are exploring every possible theory in the case and are working on a victimology to paint a clear picture of the victims past.  

January 12, 2017: (Lawrenceville, Georgia) Gwinnett County Police are investigating a homicide on the 800 Block of James Road in Lawrenceville. Police were called to the scene shortly after 1 p.m. by a home owner who discovered a deceased black female in a plastic storage bin in the front yard. The victim is showing the beginning signs of decomposition and there is no known age range at this time. The victim was transported to this location and dumped in the front yard. The primary objective at this point is to identify who the person is and notify their next of kin. The medical examiner will be responsible for determining the manner and cause of death
